The Role

Harrisdale SHS is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Technologies teacher to join our dedicated and collaborative Technologies Learning Area. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a thriving, fast‑growing school community that values innovation, practical skill development, and high‑quality teaching and learning.

The successful applicant will teach across the Design and Technologies curriculum, with a focus on workshop‑based learning in Metals, Wood, and Engineering contexts. Experience teaching Senior School courses such as Materials Design and Technology (Wood and/or Metal) is highly regarded. The ability to deliver Certificate II in Engineering is desirable, though not essential.

 
About the Role 
Design and Technologies Technician (part-time, ongoing)   

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technician to join our Design & Technologies department and help us maintain a safe and inspiring learning environment for our students. You will be hands-on in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our workshops, stores, engineering spaces, and wider D&T facilities.

Working closely with teachers, you will bring strong technical capability, initiative, and a solutions-focused mindset to ensure the best learning outcomes for students. You thrive in a dynamic environment—whether you’re preparing materials, troubleshooting equipment, maintaining resources, or identifying opportunities for improvement.


This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), ongoing position commencing in Term 2, 2026.
