DATTA WA Member Discussions

Late last term, Piers Forder and I attended the DATTA Queensland Conference in Brisbane. The two-day event provided an excellent opportunity to participate in a range of valuable presentations, explore current developments in Design and Technology education, and network with teachers from across Australia.

One of the highlights of the conference was meeting with the Presidents and Executive teams from each state's DATTA Association (or equivalent). These discussions provided a valuable opportunity to share ideas, discuss common challenges, and strengthen collaboration across the country.

As part of the conference, the Presidents also participated in a panel discussion exploring key issues and future directions for Design and Technology education across Australia.

Hi everyone, one more from me today

A call out to anyone doing something interesting using AI in their classes or workshops. It would be great to put together a showcase of teachers to display and discuss what they are doing with AI in the context of Design and Technology.

If you have something to show, please get in touch with me.  We are probably looking for 4-6 teachers to be involved.

Conference Presenters Needed - 

We're currently looking for a few more presenters to help make this year's DATTA WA Conference an outstanding opportunity for teachers to learn from one another.

If you or your school has been working on something interesting, we'd love to hear from you. Presentations don't have to be large-scale or highly polished—some of the most valuable sessions come from teachers simply sharing what has worked in their classrooms.

We're particularly interested in presentations covering (but not limited to) topics such as:
