DATTA WA State Conference 2026

The Conference is taking shape and as we have done in the last few years, we will start selling Early Bird registration tickets. These go on sale on the 25th May at 8am. A prize draw will again be run for early bird ticket holders. Please get in early to support the day and association.


The big change this year is we will be at ECU Joondalup!


As part of this change we have made conference dinner. drinks and awards a part of the day and is included in all tickets purchased.

Affective Learning and Technological Capability

On behalf of Carol Puddicomb, who has been asked to take part in the International Delphi study looking at D&T around the world.


A great opportunity for each of us to have an input. Completely voluntary and no issue if no one fills in but I think it is a great opportunity to state how WA is different or similar to the rest of the country (yes this is being distributed in NSW and VIC) as well as internationally.

Robotics Pathways Workshop – From FLL to FTC (WA Teachers)

Hi all,

With many WA schools involved in FIRST LEGO League, this workshop is an opportunity to explore what comes next in a secondary robotics pathway.

FIRST Tech Challenge is still growing in WA and sits between FLL and FIRST Robotics Competition as a practical, scalable next step.

We are hosting a hands-on Robotics Workshop Day at Peter Carnley Anglican Community School (Wellard). Christ Church Grammar School will also be attending, as we continue building the FTC network across WA.

This is a student-focused day centred on building, testing, and improving robots.
