Robotics Pathways Workshop – From FLL to FTC (WA Teachers)
Hi all,
With many WA schools involved in FIRST LEGO League, this workshop is an opportunity to explore what comes next in a secondary robotics pathway.
FIRST Tech Challenge is still growing in WA and sits between FLL and FIRST Robotics Competition as a practical, scalable next step.
We are hosting a hands-on Robotics Workshop Day at Peter Carnley Anglican Community School (Wellard). Christ Church Grammar School will also be attending, as we continue building the FTC network across WA.
This is a student-focused day centred on building, testing, and improving robots.
If you are:
Curious about extending robotics beyond FLL
Considering starting a secondary robotics program
Unsure what FTC actually involves
You are very welcome to attend.
No robot required. You can observe, ask questions, and see how it all works in practice.
Teachers attending to observe are welcome to move through the space, speak with teams, and see how the day runs in practice. A short informal Q&A will be available during the session.
On the day, you will see:
Student-built robots in action
How teams present, test, and improve designs
What’s realistically involved in running a program
Full details are in the poster attached.
Regards,
Bev
